Long armed cross stitch
There are so many names for this stitch . . . . . . Long-legged cross stitch, Plaited Slav Stitch, Twist Stitch, Greek Stitch, Portuguese Stitch, Persian Cross Stitch, Hammer Stitch . . . . . its carzy!!!
I think it should be called Plait Stitch, plain and simple, because that is what is looks like.
I absolutely love this stitch as it covers the canvas so well and it is so pretty. It just adds a little something extra to any design.
